Rare Slip Decorated Redware Bowl, Attributed Hagerstown, MD
early 19th century, possibly Henry Adams, with rounded sides and rim, the interior decorated with cream and green wavy lines; brown slip lines are centered between the wavy lines of cream and green slip over a clear lead glazed interior. The underside is marked with four slashes.
2 3/4 x 12 in.
The use of slip lines flanked by wavy lines is typical of the work of early Hagerstown potters.
