Description

Arthur Baggs 3 3/4 inch vase with carved herons, some standing and some in flight, covered with a vivid yellow high glaze created in 1935 while at The Ohio State University. Incised AEB, '35 and HF2 on the bottom. There is no crazing but there are a few open glaze bubbles in the bowl. Pictured and discussed in Forster, Alternative American Ceramics 1870 - 1955 on pages 160 to 168.
