Arthur E. Baggs (1886-1947) large unglazed two-handled jardiniere. Baggs founded Marblehead Pottery in 1904 and worked there until it closed in 1936. He taught ceramics at Ohio State University from 1928 until his death in 1947. "From Clay We are Made and Fire". Notice that this is a poem and is circular. "Fire From Clay We are Made and..." Dated '42. Perfect condition. 10"h x 11"d.
