19TH YELLOWWARE (YELLOW WARE) TURK'S CAP BAKING MOLD HANDLES: Early 19th century ceramic baking mold in turk's cap form each side with two rare, applied strap handles, 4.5"h x 12"d. In 2008 this piece was appraised for $600USD for insurance purposes. The appraisal was part of a much larger USPAP, ISA estate appraisal of fine art and antiques (many offered throughout this auction) and a copy of the cover page and this listing will be included with the lot. Frederic C. 'Fritz' Wallace (1904 – 2014, Germany, America) was born in Munich, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1938 and served with the Army for three years in the ‘European Theater of Operations’ (ETO). He traveled extensively throughout the globe, collecting with an extremely educated focus and uncommon eye. Truly devoted to research for his collection, Mr. Wallace ensured that he purchased the rarest of interested items in only the best of condition. A fortunate Realtor and Developer, he lived in Sarasota, where he was a patron of the arts and served for many years on the Board of Directors at the historic Asolo Repertory Theatre.
