Description
An Egyptian bicolor faience plaque depicting three 'Eyes of Horus', 3rd Intermediate Period, c. 1075 - 664 BC, the eyes on both sides, with nice light blue color and the pupil detailed in black, three horizontal suspension holes through the sides. L: 1 1/4 in (3.2cm), H: 1 1/8 in (2.8cm). Mounted on its side on an antique wood mount. Ex Dorset, England private collection formed by the previous owner's grandfather who worked for a `telegraph` company in Egypt in the 1920`s. and had been in the family`s possession since then.
