Description
An Egyptian bicolor faience ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 943 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and seshed headband, arms folded at chest hands with pick and hoe detailed in black, bag at center of back. The cosmetic details are also in black as is a neat vertical column of hieroglyphic text. H: 3 1/2 in (8.9cm). A nice example with light deposits. Ex Southern California private collection acquired in 1971.
