Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, ca 500 BCE to 500 CE. One of two superb and rare pottery human head sculptures. About the size of a shrunken head with open mouth, almond eyes and deeply incised features and decorations. Custom stand. Size: 4" W x 2-1/2" H (10.2 cm x 6.4 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private collection of the late Dr. Peter Arnowick, acquired before 1970.
