Description
Benham & Froud (English (London), c.1855-1924). A collection of five Alexandra cross copper jelly moulds bearing a triple stepped square cross design over a thick cylindrical disc with incurvate shoulder, the collection comprising one large and four small molds, each with tin lining. Large mould marked to one side of base with maker's orb and cross mark, and to other side of base with impressed sunburst mark. Each smaller mold with impressed "129" to side of base. Large mold approximate height 6.5", diameter 5.5". Smaller molds approximate height 3", diameter 2.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
