English, Late 18th century, circa 1790. A George III period mahogany close stool having a banded hinged top over a deep scrolled apron raised on chamfered legs. Approximate height 18.5", width 18.75", depth 15.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
