Description
English, second half 17th century. A pair of Jacobean stained oak hall chairs both with carved foliage and scrolled cresting over a rectangular caned back flanked to each side by foliage and opposing S-scrolls within baluster turned uprights over woven rush seat raised on scrolled front legs joined by a front scroll carved and pierced stretcher and baluster turned and block H- form stretcher. Approximate height 48.6", width 18". seat depth 14", seat height 18". Provenance: Property from the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
