"Horse" Kachina, Hopi Pueblo, c. 1940's. Cottonwood. Old tag indicates carving made at Hotevilla. Case mask color simulates early "spit green" mineral paint. Two facing horses, painted black & in profile, decorate the cheeks. Origin: Native American / American Indian / Southwest / Arizona. Dimensions: 9.25 in. tall x 4 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.
Condition
Very little wear to surfaces, feet broken & re-glued, overall very good.
