Description
"Supai" kachina doll, Hopi Pueblo, mid-20th century. Cottonwood. Impressive size, well carved and painted. With horns, rattle, bow, side sash, belt and fox hide drop carved in relief. Legs are carved up under the kilt. Origin: Native American / American Indian / Southwest / Arizona. Dimensions: 12 in. tall x 5.75 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
Condition
Stress crack to one leg, break in paint at shoulder of one arm (wood intact), suspensions missing at the crown (tack holes remaining, one horn re-glued, scurrying consistent with age.
