Description
American Eastlake Carved Walnut Marble Top Center Table, late 19th c., the canted corner rectangular Tennessee brown marble over a wide skirt with ball finials, on a fluted quadruped base to serpentine legs, on casters centered by a turned support, H.- 30 in., W.- 24 1/2 in., D.- 17 1/2 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. The marble is likely the original marble. The marble is unmarked, however; a number of marble companies specializing in Tennessee brown marble were in operation during the approximate date of manufacture. The marble top has a dull appearance to the polish, some mild residue spots and various expected surface scratches. The skirt and base are observed with very mild surface wear. Otherwise nothing to report. A very good example.
