American Folk painted dressing table, 19th c., New England, the faux marble painted top with scalloped gallery and skirt, square tapering legs, 35"h x 30"l x 18"d

Provenance: Furnishings from the Estate of Barbara Allen de Kwiatkowski, a Parish-Hadley Commission

Notes/Literature: Model, socialite, and Andy Warhol protege, Barbara Allen de Kwiatkowski, made her name as a young editor at Interview Magazine and as a popular subject of the Society pages. Later marrying German industrialist and polo champion Henryk de Kwiatkowski, they built a Connecticut country estate and stables, designed by architect Alan Wanzenberg and decorated by legendary interior designers Sister Parish and Albert Haley
