Africa, Niger River valley, Bura culture, ca 3rd to 13th century, but most likely toward the later end of the culture. Large and unusual pottery head of a human in redware coarse clay. Figure with exaggerated ears, round inset eyes and wearing double-rowed headband. Custom stand. Size: 7.75" W x 7.5" H (19.7 cm x 19 cm)
