Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, Chinesco Style, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. This is a small female figure standing on wide legs with her hands on her hips, wearing large earrings and a nose ring. The figure is painted cream and red, with linear stripes on her heart-shaped face; these may represent tattoos and are fairly unique on figures of this kind; maybe this was modelled after an individual. Size: 3.75" W x 7" H (9.5 cm x 17.8 cm).
