Description
A. "Guardianship Bill", 16th of Shevat 1935. Appointment of Rabbi Nachum [Mordechai] Shuv Toib (1865-1939, one of the most important Karlin Hassidim in Tiberias) as the guardian of "the house in the ancient city of Tiberias" of the Yanuka Rebbe. Signatures of the Dayanim Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank and Rabbi Fischel Bernstein. Stamp of Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Shazury, the secretary of the Chief Rabbinate.
B. Letter to the governor of Tiberias district by the secretary of the Chief Rabbinate (his signature on the margins of the letter) about transferring the plot in Tiberias to the guardian Rabbi Nachum Toib. 24th of Tamuz 1925.
C. "Reshut Beit Din" (Permit of the Court), 18th of Sivan 1939. Regarding the request of Rabbi Nachum Toib to receive mortgage for rebuilding the house that had belonged to the Yanuka Rebbe. Signatures of three Jerusalem Dayanim, members of the Chief Rabbinate: Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Ya'akov Kalmes and Rabbi Avraham Philosoph. Signature of the secretary of the Chief Rabbinate.
Rabbi Yisrael Perlov, the Yanuka Rebbe, (1869-1022) was the son of Rabbi Asher, the second Rebbe of Stolin. When he was four years old, his father died. Despite his young age, the Hassidim saw him as designated to be their leader. When he turned thirteen, he became the Rebbe of Stolin. He was known as a genius and kabbalist.
