Description

A bronze locomotive bell from Boston & Maine Railroad #2658. This bell was sold by the Boston & Maine in 19xx. We have the original B&M reclamation tag sting the weight of 242 pounds and the original purchaser who lived in Connecticut. Our consignor purchased the bell from the guy in Connecticut and did a great job of keeping that original paperwork intact. A few photos of the bell will be included with the B&M tag. It has the number, 2658 stamped in a style that is consistent with other Boston & Maine bells that I have seen over the years. I do not doubt the 242 pounds. It's a beast with its yoke attached. It has a nice solid ring to it. It measures 12" tall and it has a base diameter of 16".

Note that because of the weight you must attend the auction or come pick it up in person after the auction. We will not ship this item.
