[Album with about 17 photographs (mostly gelatin silver, some albumen). Members of the Van Evedy family in Ontario and the US. The Van Evedys’ Dutch ancestors settled in New York in the 1600’s, and their descendants later settled in Terrytown, farther North. Loyalists within the family were forced to flee to Canada following the Revolutionary War. Mostly cabinet cards, some larger/smaller, smallest CDVs. Photographers’ mounts name Rochester; Washington, DC; Canonoque, Ontario; and other locations. In contemporary album with illustration on front cover. Album worn, external portion of rear cover absent. Some photographs foxed, most images very good. Backs of mounts toned. Sold with all faults.
