Ancient Rome, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A tall "candlestick" aqua blue glass unguent, mold blown in the classic candlestick form with a hemispherical base showing a concave underside, a tall cylindrical neck that was cinched at its lower end just above the body and tapers ever so slightly to the flat, infolded disk rim. Positively stunning with areas of interior silver, rainbow, and even purple iridescence. Simply exquisite! Size: 2.625" W at widest x 6.5" H (6.7 cm x 16.5 cm)
