Description

Two silk printed campaign ribbons. Comprises 1.) Ribbon with rectangular portrait of Harrison above an obelisk,imprinted "September 10, 1840" [2-1/2" W x 6-3/4" H, not including frayed top and bottom edges]. Bears short tears at bottom edge, hole at top, and toning. 2.) Bust-length 3/4 profile portrait of Harrison above his log cabin with a plume of smoke coming from the chimney. Bears an unusual reversed "ghost" image of an inverted Harrison portrait below the log cabin [2 1/2" W x 6 3/4" H, not including frayed top and bottom edges]. Light toning with frayed top and bottom edges.

Condition

1). Bears short tears at bottom edge and hole at top and toning. 2). Light toning with frayed top and bottom edges.
