American Tall Case Clock, Cherry, c. 1820., with lunar dial, calendar, and painted American sailing ship with early flag and maps showing New Holland versus New South Wales.
NOTE: the painter of the lunar dial with an American ship, a Chinese scene, and globes beneath appears to be someone who worked with Thomas McCarty of Wellsburg Virginia. However the works of this clock appear to be possibly replaced and do not bear his impressed marks.(JKOC8001)
