Description
An American Country Cherry Tall Case Clock, First Quarter 19th Century. The white-painted arched dial having Roman hours and Arabic minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train eight day movement striking on a bell.
Dimensions:Â Height 93 1/2in; width 19in; depth 10 3/4in.
Condition
Structurally sound. The case in an overall refinished condition. Age cracks, shrinkage, filling-in and small repairs throughout. The dial retains its original surface. The date aperture has been repainted and without numeral 'dates'. At the time the condition report was conducted, the clock was maintaining power and striking correctly for a period of time before stopping, will need minor adjustment from a clock specialist. With pendulum, two weights and winding crank. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement.
