Description: Highly detailed and finished carving of the Chinese Empress with attendants under a natural bonsai pine tree.Details: The whole carved of one section of elephant ivory tusk, rock-like carved base, three figures of women, the central figure the empress in fanciful dress having a large bow just above her knees, delicate fingers with nails, 'jade carving' about her neck and headdress, sections of her robes pierced through to display the skills of the carver.A protective figure with sword stands by one side with one hand placed on the empress' elbow and the other through her arm. A figure on the left carries a lamp. A fork branched pine tree takes the appearance of bonsai having its roots wrapped around a rock protrusion on the rear of the sculpture.

History: The Ancient Tree Museum of Guanyin Mountain in the park is the first ancient tree museum in China. It has a collection of more than 50 recently-unearthed ancient trees of great research and appreciative value. It is titled “Popular Science Education Foundation” of the first batch of Dongguan and “Guangdong Province Youth Science Education Foundation” successively.
