Description: Japanese tortoise shell and mixed metal container in a cylindrical shape. Container is inlaid and accented with silver and gold flowers on both the obverse and reverse. The lip of both the cap and body of the container are accented with silver bands.
History: Japanese mixed metal work is renown the world over for being some of the best and finest in the world. This container was made during the Meji period which dates this item between 1865 and 1912.
