Item Details

Description

A rare antique Victorian era Gate Pull or Hitching Post Ornament. The ornament made of cast iron and is in the figural form of a Lion. He has a great weathered finish and remnants of white paint. The Lion measures 4 5/8" in diameter and is 6" high and 2" deep, he is very heavy at just under 2 1/4 pounds. The Lion is in good overall condition with no chips or cracks in the metal. He would make a great decorative accessory in a Victorian Garden collection and is still perfectly functional if you want to use it for a Gate, Handle or Hook.
