Description
An Edwardian 18ct gold opal five-stone ring. The oval-shape opal cabochon graduated line, to the openwork gallery and tapered band. Hallmarks for Chester, 1901, partially indistinct. Weight 2.4gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Evidence of sizing to the band. One opal is a replacement. Opals fairly well matched. Opals white with a fair play of colour, showing predominately green to blue hues. Most opals show moderately heavy abrasion. Ring size R.
