First, a .925 silver heart pierced by seven daggers from the Lady of Sorrows with organic veins adorning the surface. Size and weight: 2.5 ounces, 4-3/4" x 6" (12.1 x 15.2 cm). Next, a brass heart delineated as pierced with an arrow also signifying the Lady of Sorrows, adorned on the stem with an incised cross and on the body with leaf like and geometric motifs. Nice coppery patina has developed on the golden bronze. Size: 4-1/4" x 3-1/2" (10.8 x 8.9 cm)

Milagros are religious folk charms used as votive offerings and for healing purposes in Mexico, other regions of Latin America, the southern United States, and sections of the Iberian peninsula. The faithful attach them to altars, shrines, and sacred objects such as church bells found in places of worship.
