Third quarter 19th century, the dial signed ''Deniere a Paris'', the two-train movement stamped ''Jx / Deniere / A Paris / 920'' and ''Juvenaux'' over the circular ''Medaille d'or / Paris / 1827'' pastille, surmounted overall by a reclining putti, the circular dial with blue Roman numeral hour markers on shaped white enamel cartouches surrounded by a subsidiary Arabic numeral minute dial within a circular glazed bezel, housed within a pierced waisted case all-over decorated with scrolling foliage and red velvet-backed grillage panels, on scrolling foliate feet above a serpentine naturalistic plinth raised overall on outswept scrolling bracket feet, with key, 18'' H x 11.75'' W x 7.875'' D, est: $3000/4000
Condition
Overall good condition. General darkening and wear to gilt bronze commensurate with age. One enamel hour marker loose from setting. Works complete. Moran's does not guarantee working condition of clocks and watches.
