Description
Pair of Chinese Tang Dynasty Dvarapala Carved Stone Sculptures (618-907 CE). The stone of dark grey color with remnants of white pigment. Two muscular guardian figures, each with one arm raised and one arm akimbo, fierce expressions. Both supported on rectangular bases with custom-built additional stands. Provenance: Richfield Antiques; Anunt Hengtrakul; Private Voorhees, NJ estate. Size: 25"H (63 cm).
