Description
Chinese, Ming Dynasty Xuande Period mark (1426-1435), likely 20th century. A Ming Dynasty style porcelain bawan or stem cup with exterior jihong or baoshihong copper red glaze and interior decoration of a central medallion with cobalt blue 5-clawed dragon amid cloud scrolls and surrounded by double cobalt rings, also with double cobalt rings to rim. Marked to interior of round hollow foot with six character Xuande imperial reign mark. Approximate height 6.625", diameter of mouth 10.75".
