Cf. Albert Goldman, Egyptian born in 1922, emigrated to Israel in 1951.Goldman worked for many years in hospitality and the hotel business. He was the manager during the 1940, at the most prestigious of Middle East Hotels, The Luxor in Cairo.
In 1948 at the start of Israel’s War For Independence, Goldman was seriously injured during an Israeli bomb attack. Upon recovering he left Egypt to reside in the newly formed State of Israel.
Albert Goldman began painting at an early age, however it was not until 1980 that he retired from the hotel business to begin painting full time.
Goldman’s works has been exhibited in Jerusalem, Paris, New York, Tel Aviv and South Africa. His works can be found in many Private Collections of notable figures such as the late Pope Paul IV, the late Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie; and Presidents of both Israel and Egypt, Itzhak Ben Zvi, Zalman Shazar, Itzhak Navon, Anwar Sadat and Hosni Mubarak.
