Description
Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, ca. 1567-1085 BCE. Rare to find, an attractive wall vase comprised of light blue faience of a lovely luster with a branch and leaf design in the center and a scrolling design on each side. Ancient Egyptian blue or irtyu was regarded as the color of the celestial realm and by extension symbolized the universe making this piece all the more spectacular! Mounted on custom stand. Size: vase itself measures 4" x 3-1/8" (9 x 8 cm).
