Description
Frederick Carder (English, 1863-1963) for Steuben Glass Works (American, founded 1903). A matched pair of rosaline and alabaster vases, shape #2909, the trumpet form flaring mouth and tapering body in rosaline terminating on a circular alabaster foot. One vase engraved to the underside "Steuben, F. Carder". Approximate height 10", diameter of mouth 6". Note: from the Steuben lines of opaline glass called “Jade Glass". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Condition
Small included bubbles, under surface. A couple of dark flecks, inclusions under surface. One vase with seed bubbles under surface. One vase with elongated bubble burst at surface to interior near rim. No chips, cracks or repairs noted.
