Description
Frederick Carder (English, 1863-1963) for Steuben Glass Works (American, founded 1903), circa 1903-1932. A Rosaline and alabaster glass compote, shape #2942 from the Steuben lines of opaline glass called “Jade Glass”, having a flaring mouth and bowl in the Rosaline color accented with applied alabaster glass ring handles on a knopped alabaster stem and flaring foot. Marked to the underside foot with Fleur-de-lis paper label. Approximate height 9.6", diameter of mouth 10". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Condition
Overall very good condition. A small area on the foot with discoloration under the surface. No chips, cracks or repairs noted.
