Description
A large Greek Tanagra terracotta figure of a woman, c. 3rd – 2nd Century BC, wearing chiton and himation, her hair styled back in waves behind a large curved diadem. The figure is well-preserved with much remaining pigment below scattered deposits. H: 11 in (27.8 cm). Mounted on an antique velvet lines base. Ex New Hampshire private collection.
