Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima region, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A very fine pottery vessel! Redware jar with small spout at top of head, in the form of a seated shaman. He wears the classic shaman's horn on his forehead, with 5 petaled collar, hands to bent knees and enhanced further with deep red slip and incised decorations. Size: 12-1/4"H.
