Egypt, Alexandria, Ptolomaic Period, ca. 3rd to 1st century BCE. Lovely hollow-molded pottery figure of Harpocrates, the Greek variation of the Egyptian Horus, god of silence and son of Isis. He sits with arms outstretched, wearing a cap and pleated tunic. Lovely example! Size: 2-1/2"H (6,35cm).
