French Provincial Carved Oak Pedestal, 19th c., Bordeaux, constructed from a wine press screw with a square socle on a square base, H.- 65 1/2 in., W.- 12 in., D.- 10 1/4 in.

As found. A large crack is seen starting at the bottom and continuing upwards, over halfway up the pedestal. A similar crack is seen starting at the top and continuing downwards over halfway along another side. Losses to wood are seen throughout. Scattered areas of heavy old worm damage are noted. An approximately 2 inch strip is now lacking along one side of the flat base. An interesting piece with old world charm. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
