Description
Magna Graecia, southern Italy, ca. 4th century BCE. Lot of 2 blackware pottery vessels. First, pottery kantharos on short foot, with twin handles at opposing sides and flared rim. Size: 5-3/4" W to edge of handles. Along with Campanian mug on short stemmed foot, impressed decorations to "belly" and bifurcated upper section with loop handle. Size: 3-5/8"H.
Provenance: Ex-private R. Pearson collection, acquired at NYC auction
