Latin America, Mexico, ca.1950 CE. Almost whimsical carved wooden mask used in the Day of The Dead (Dia de los Muertos) holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. Carved in the form of a human skull with deep sunk eyes, missing nose and toothy smile. Size: 9" H.
