Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, Honduras, ca. 550 to 900 CE. Very large and fine pottery two-handled jar. Saucer-shaped base with straight walled rim, twin handles to the opposing sides, painted in bright orange, black and deep red/orange with head-shaped glyphoids along shoulder, continuous temple pattern on rim walls, four abstract patterns along base. Size: 8-3/4" in diameter at widest point x 5-1/4"H.
