Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Nayarit, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. A lovely round 'platter' with vertical walls in a polychrome color scheme comprised of red, orange, and black pigments, the repeated black lines intended to represent wood grain. Quite attractive and fascinating! Size: 8-7/8" in diameter (22.54 cm) x 1-5/8"H (4.13 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Houston, TX collection acquired at auction or local gallery between 1982 and 1994.
