Jeweled Gold Silver and Ivory Art Deco Cane-Ca. 1920-Silver ball knob inset with a Byzantine gold coin at the top and with four sapphire cabochons on the side (one missing) and presented on a long and tapering filigree silver sleeve wrapping a matching ivory core. The handle is authenticated by the German half-moon and crown silver marks beside an “800” and two other unknown makers’ marks and comes on a mahogany shaft with a brass ferrule. This one-of-a-kind cane must have been commissioned by a lover of numismatics eagerly willing to have his favorite coin at hand and show it to his friends and trigger an interesting conversation.-3 ½” x 1 ¼”, O.L. 37 ¾”-$800-$1,000
