35. Ivory Turkey Cane-Ca. 1880-Large ivory handle carved to depict a full bodied turkey, well-dressed malacca shaft with a turned ivory collar and ivory ferrule. The big bird is rendered with great care, shows beautiful proportions, a very fine feather coat and delicate undercuts and above all, fits well in the hand. This rarely encountered cane distinguishes by quality as well and an obvious decorative appeal. It aged well and with its entire fine detail.-H. 4 x 3, O.L. 37-$2,000-$3,000
