It shows Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta and was made by Antonio Pisano (Pisanello) during the 15th century. The second plaque comes from a foundry in Ilsenburg and shows a male profile. The third plaque originates from France and also shows a male profile. It is signed and dated “Sauve fécit 1837”.
The three bronze reliefs are in good condition with light traces of age and wear. Small scratches, dents and minor patination are visible. The largest relief shows a foundry mark on the verso, “Ilsenburg Harz”, and is numbered “2172”. The mid-size relief is signed and dated “Sauve, fecit 1837” and the smallest plaque is inscribed “Sigismundus Pandulfus Malatesta Pan F Poliorcites et Imp Semper Invict” on the edge.
