Description
Pre-Columbian, central coast of Peru, Chancay, ca. 1000 to 1300 CE. A very cute buffware pottery jar with twin loop handles, upper section molded into the form of a human playing a flute. Arms, nose, ears and eyes in high relief with added brown pigment to enhance the already delightful scene. Size: 6"H.
