George III Mahogany Candle Stand, late 18th century and later, the piecrust top raised on a foliate-carved baluster standard to three pierced and splayed legs ending in scrolled toes, the underside bearing the label "Frank Partridge Works of Art, 26 King St., St. James & New York", h. 25", dia. 19".

In overall good condition, with normal wear, abrasions and indications of age and use. There are a couple sections of lifted finish on the top. One leg exhibits a filled hole near its top, presumably over a screw or peg. Another leg has a round hole in a similar position, presumably from a past screw or nail. The underside has a white celluloid label from noted English antiquarian Frank Partridge.
