Description
This beautifully-crafted silver urn was part of the first group of Atocha treasures recovered in 1985. It could have had any number of functions from storing expensive foodstuffs to transporting cremated remains, but at its core is a testament to the incredible craftsmanship of the Spanish Colonial period. Although the urn retains its original lid, it does not have a bottom.
