STAMPED "J. FISHER / LYONS, NY." NEW YORK STONEWARE ADVERTISING JUG, salt-glazed, "2" gallon capacity stamp, beehive-form with plain mouth and strap handle. Slip-trailed cobalt "Scherer Buelling & Co. / Utica N.Y." Together with a Sawtooth Star pattern pieced quilt with 41 pattern blocks and 41 plain blocks. Two pieces total. Fourth quarter 19th century. Jug 13" H, quilt 66" x 68".

Condition

Jug undamaged except for a chip to back of mouth, quilt fair to poor with deterioration of fabric and scattered stains.
